How to book or pay for our experiences?

Can I book an experience for just one person?

Our ‘potions’ and ‘from scratch’ experiences typically are for one person, our ‘bring the restaurant home’ experiences are for two people.

 

Who can order and book experiences?

Currently we are only selling to Dublin and the greater Dublin area, we are working to expand this throughout all of Ireland but we are not there yet. If you are in living in Dublin and the greater Dublin area you can take part. When you purchase your order you have the option to collect or have it delivered.

Delivery: there will be a delivery fee of €15 applied per experience if you opt to have your experience delivered.

Collection: if you opt to collect you must collect from The Chef Supper Club HQ, Blackrock Park House, Frascati Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 HH36. 

 

Is there any cooking involved?

Yes. Each experience is 90 percent prepared for you by our experienced chefs, however there will be some cooking, reheating and plating to be completed, which you will be guided through by your host (the chef of your experience).

Do you need any special equipment?
Typically you need an oven, hob, microwave (not essential but useful), pots and pans, plates for presentation, scissors and cutlery, glassware if adding pairing wines, etc, This can change depending on the experience as some may be more specialised than others.

 

Are all experiences the same price?

No, prices may vary based on the type and duration of the experience as well as the ingredients involved.

 

What if I can’t make the time of the live experience?

If you are unable to join the live experience, once the experience has ended you will be able to view an on-demand video of the experience and cook with it, otherwise there is also a step by step guide which is available to download from thechefsupperclub.com  which you can follow if you fall behind or have lost internet, or are cooking at a later time.

 

What do I do if I want to ask a question of the chef and I am not part of the Chefs table?

Add your questions and comments into the group chat function and if time allows we will ask the chef on your behalf during the experience. 

 

How do I ask a question of the chef as a member of the chef’s table?

You will have the opportunity to ask your questions live to the chef at certain points only during the live experience, and in some instances the chef will remain live for a Q&A session with all the chef’s table guests, for a further period of time once the actual experience has ended.

 

Can you accommodate allergy and dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to accommodate  allergy and dietary restrictions. However, each food and drink experience is unique and curated by the chef or expert, so in some instances it may not be possible to do this or we may not be able to cater for all allergy and dietary restrictions.  We will always try to accommodate  vegetarian, pescatarian and coeliac if notified. In order to provide each diner with the most personalised experience; please ensure you advise us fully as you are booking any experience of any health or allergy-related dietary needs, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. Please also send an email to requests@thechefsupperclub.com, if not we are not responsible and are unable to cater for them after the booking has been made. 

 

How much time should we plan for our dining experience?

It takes approximately 90 minutes / two hours 

 

Can our children join us during the experience?

Children are welcome to dine with you during your ‘bring the restaurant home’ experience it is your home. However the experiences unless stated are not designed for children, children’s participation is not advised for the ‘potions’ and ‘from scratch’ due to the nature of the experiences.

 

Do you offer sale of gift vouchers for experiences?

We do not offer gift vouchers. You may book an experience as a gift as you would book any experience but ensure you give your recipients details (address, phone no etc) and advise us that it is a gift and what occasion it is by emailing booking@thechefsupperclub.com  ..

 

Do you give discounts for multiple purchases?

No

 

How can I order an extra experience after I have placed my booking?

When is my experience delivered?

Your experience will be delivered the day before or on the day of the experience, it depends on your location and the day of the week.  

 

*** Do I have to be there to accept my delivery ?

You must be there to accept delivery for health and safety reasons we are unable to leave items unrefrigerated as it may contain raw or pre-cooked food.  

 

*** What happens if i miss my delivery ?

If we are unable to deliver your experience it will be returned to The Supper Club HQ in Blackrock and you must collect it from there yourself.

 

Where do you get your ingredients from? 

It varies as each chef or expert creates their menu and in many instances they will opt to use their local suppliers.

 

Who prepares the food?

Our team of fully qualified and professional chefs in TheSupperClub HQ are headed up by a Michelin starred chef and they prepare the food in conjunction with the chef or expert running that experience. 

 

What if I need to cancel my ‘bring the restaurant home’ experience?

It takes 8 days to prepare the products in advance so they can only be cancelled with a full refund up to 14* business days prior to the actual experience date,( *please note the administration fee is not-refundable at any point ), after the 14 days have expired your pre-payment is non-refundable. 

 

Alternatively, you can arrange to transfer your experience to a 3rd party of your choosing i.e. someone can take your place instead however this can only be done with advance notice and our full agreement 14 days prior to the experience it is also subject to the chef and their menu experience as it may not be suitable for certain food intolerances or geographically we may not be able to deliver to the  person you are nominating.

 

What if I need to cancel my  ‘from scratch’ or ‘potions’ experiences?

One-off experiences can be cancelled with a full refund up to 14* business days prior to the date of the actual experience, ( *please note the administration fee is not-refundable at any point), after the 14 days have expired your pre-payment is non-refundable. 

 

Alternatively you can arrange to transfer your experience to a 3rd party of your choosing i.e. someone to take your place instead however this can only be done with advance notice and our full agreement 14 days prior to the experience – it is also subject to the chef / expert and their menu or experience as it may not be possible due to certain food intolerances or geographically we may not be able to deliver to the person you are nominating.

 

“from scratch” or “potions” experiences   

For multi-part course/series: no refunds are issued for any classes missed within the full run of a multi-part  “from scratch” course/series.  We do not allow the transfer of the experience to a 3rd party for any multi-part “from scratch” course/series if you can’t attend.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made by emailing booking@thechefsupperclub.com. in the timeframes outlined above. You will receive a cancellation confirmation email within approximately 12 hours. The cancellation is not final until you have received this confirmation. Experiences can be transferred or gifted to anyone you wish using the TOCK system.

 

The refund must be made by using the same means of payment as the prepayment, refunds can only be issued to the credit/debit card that made the transaction on the site and cannot be issued to any other card.

 

The administration fee is non-refundable. The Chef Supper Club will not be liable to you or any other person for any interest on your prepayment or other costs, expenses, losses or any consequential or indirect loss of costs resulting from such cancellation or rescheduling, including costs of travel or pre-booked accommodation.

 

The Chef Supper Club reserves the right to cancel or change your booking in the event of unforeseen or other circumstances outside The Chef Supper Club’s control, including (without limitation) weather conditions, problems with infrastructure, illness of the chef or other key staff, natural disasters, utility interruptions, safety and security concerns (including outbreak of disease) or decisions from any Govt authority.

 

 

Can I give my experience away or sell it?

Change of date

We do not offer a change of date option as the majority of our experiences are one-off typically – you can choose to gift your experience assuming the person you nominate fits the criteria ..

FAQs for Bring the Restaurant Home Experience

 

How many people will my ‘bring the restaurant home’ experience feed?

Your experience will feed two people.

 

How many experiences can I book at one time?

If you require to feed more than two diners then you will need to book extra experiences – each ‘bring the restaurant home’ experience feeds two people.

 

Can I order as many as they like or is there a limit?

You can book as many experiences as you wish as long as they haven’t sold out and your payment goes through in full, there are only 20 seats however at any chef table experience so once they are sold out you will be unable to purchase that option.

 

How do I book a wine paring ?

As part of the booking process on thechefsupperclub.com website you will be asked if you would like to purchase the option of a wine pairing with your meal, if you do please follow the steps outlined.

 

Drink orders are typically made when you book the experience but if you forgot or change your mind you can book directly from TCSC wine list on our website www.thechefsupperclub.com

 

Experience menus typically have a range of wines chosen to work with them but if you prefer to choose a wine from our TCSC wine list you can, alternatively there are also non alcoholic options available. 

 

All orders must be placed no later than 7 days prior to the experience so it can be delivered to you at the same time. Unfortunately, orders cannot be placed upon arrival. That said, we will of course do our very best to meet any additional requests on the day of the reservation.

 

How do I book the chefs table?

You can book the chefs table as an upgrade when you Book Now on thechefsupperclub.com website, however there are only 20 places so once they are sold out you will be unable to purchase them. The chefs table booking includes the wine paring option so if you have booked the chefs table you cannot also order the wine paring option as it is already included.

FAQ’s for “from scratch” experiences 

 

What comes with a ‘from scratch’ experience?

Your experience includes all of the ingredients  you need to make the items in the course. You will need to provide the kitchen equipment required yourself including mixer, bowls, plates, cutlery, weighing scales,  oven, etc.

 

 

Can I book a ‘from scratch’ for two people? 

The majority of ‘from scratch’ experiences contain the items for one person to take part in the experience, unless otherwise stated –  if two of you wish to take part you must order two experiences. FAQ’s for ‘potions’ experience

 

Is there an age limit on these experiences ?

You must be of the legal drinking age to take part in our ‘potions’ experience unless otherwise stated.

 

What comes in my potions experience?

All the elements you need to make the cocktails or taste the wines are supplied. These elements do not include glassware, straws, ice, bottle openers, knife or cocktail shaker.

 

Can I book a ‘potions’ for two people?

The majority of ‘potions’ experiences are designed for one person and only deliver enough ingredients for one, unless otherwise stated. If you are happy to share there is no restriction on how many people can watch the class on a single device but you may have insufficient ingredients. Multiple Bookings are made by use of a third-party booking platform operated by Tock.
