TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern all bookings of experiences at The Chefs Supper Club (“the business”).

Booking Via TOCK 

Bookings are made by use of a third-party booking platform operated by Tock. Your booking is governed by their terms and conditions,  please ensure you have read in full their terms before you book.  https://www.exploretock.com/thechefsupperclub

 

1.1 Prepayment

Pre-payment of all experiences is required upon booking.

 

1.2 Cancellation of our experiences

“bring the restaurant home” experiences   

it takes 7 days to prepare the products in advance so they can only be cancelled with a full refund up to 14* business days prior to the actual experience date,( *please note the administration fee is not-refundable at any point ), after the 14 days have expired your pre-payment is non-refundable. 

 

Alternatively you can arrange to transfer your experience to a 3rd party of your choosing i.e. someone can take your place instead however this can only be done with advance notice and our full agreement 14 days prior to the experience it is also subject to the chef and their menu experience as it may not be suitable for certain  food intolerances or geographically we may not be able to deliver to the  person you are nominating.

 

“from scratch” or “potions” experiences   

for one-off experiences they can be cancelled with a full refund up 14* business days prior to the date of the actual experience, ( *please note the administration fee is not-refundable at any point), after the 14 days have expired your pre-payment is non-refundable. 

 

Alternatively you can arrange to transfer your experience to a 3rd party of your choosing i.e. someone to take your place instead however this can only be done with advance notice and our full agreement 14 days prior to the experience it is also subject to the chef / expert and their menu or experience as it may not be possible due to certain food intolerances or geographically we may not be able to deliver to the person you are nominating.

 

“from scratch” or “potions” experiences   

multi-part course/series: no refunds are issued for any classes missed within the full run of a multi-part  “from scratch” course/series.  We do not allow the transfer of the experience to a 3rd party for any multi-part “from scratch” course/series if you can’t attend.

 

1.3 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by emailing booking@thechefsupperclub.com  in the timeframes outlined above.

You will receive a cancellation confirmation email within approximately 12 hours. 

The cancellation is not final until you have received this confirmation.

Experiences can be transferred or gifted to anyone you wish using the TOCK system.

 

The refund must be made by using the same means of payment as the prepayment, refunds can only be issued to the credit/debit card that made the transaction on the site and cannot be issued to any other card.

The administration fee is non-refundable. Liath will not be liable to you or any other person for any interest on your prepayment or other costs, expenses, losses or any consequential or indirect loss of costs resulting from such cancellation or rescheduling, including costs of travel or pre-booked accommodation.

 

TCSC reserves the right to cancel or change your booking in the event of unforeseen or other circumstances outside the TCSC’S control, including (without limitation) weather conditions, problems with infrastructure, illness of the chef or other key staff, natural disasters, utility interruptions, safety and security concerns (including outbreak of disease) or decisions from any Govt authority.

 

2.1  How to book our experiences 

Click on the Book Now button on thechefsupperclub.com website and follow the steps.

 

2.2. How do I book a wine paring 

as part of the booking process on thechefsupperclub.com website you will be asked if you would like to purchase the option of a wine pairing with your meal, if you do please follow the steps outlined.

 

2.3 How do I book the chefs table 

You can book the chefs table as an upgrade when you Book Now on thechefsupperclub.com website, however there are only 20 places so once they are sold out you will be unable to purchase them. The chefs table booking includes the wine paring option so if you have booked the chefs table you can not also order the wine paring option as it is already included.

 

2.4 Who can order and book experiences from you ?

Currently we are only selling to Dublin and the greater Dublin area, we are working to expand this throughout all of Ireland but we are not there yet. If you are in living in Dublin and the greater Dublin area you can take part – when you purchase your order you have the option to collect or have it delivered – there will be a delivery fee of €15 applied if you opt to have your experience delivered. You will need to collect from The Chef Supper Club HQ,  Blackrock Park House, Frascati Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 HH36. 

 

 

2.2 Wines 

Drink orders are typically made when you book the experience but if you forgot or change your mind you can book directly from TCSC wine list on our website www.thechefsupperclub.com

 

Experience menus typically have a range of wines chosen to work with them but if you prefer to choose a wine from our TCSC wine list you can, alternatively there are also non alcoholic options available. 

 

All orders must be placed no later than 7 days prior to the experience so it can be delivered to you at the same time. Unfortunately, orders cannot be placed upon arrival. That said, we will of course do our very best to meet any additional requests on the day of the reservation.

 

2.3 Prices

Further details on the cost of experiences  and other practical matters are found on our website www.thechefsupperclub.com   Such details are provided strictly for  information purposes only and do not form part of these Terms and Conditions.

 

2.4 Payment

Payment of the experience is made in full in advance of the experience.

Payment may be made via credit card and a credit card fee will be applied (relative to specific credit card used) at the time of payment. 

A flat rate administration fee of 2.5% will be applied at the time of online payment. This administration fee is non-refundable if you have to cancel your experience.

 

3 Changes and assignments

3.1 TCSC reserves the right to cancel or change your booking in the event of unforeseen or other circumstances outside our control, including (without limitation) weather conditions, problems with infrastructure entailing hardship of travel to the Restaurant, illness of the Restaurant’s chef or other key staff, natural disasters, utility interruptions, safety and security concerns (including outbreak of disease) or decisions from any Government authority.

 

In the event of cancellation we will refund the payment made by you. The refund will be made by using the same means of payment as the prepayment. The administration fee is non-refundable. TCSC will not be liable to you or any other person for any interest on your prepayment or other costs, expenses, losses or any consequential or indirect loss of costs resulting from such cancellation or rescheduling.

 

3.2 Bookings for TCSC cannot be:

used or otherwise disposed of in the course of any business or for the purpose of facilitating a third party’s business;

sold or offered for sale to any third parties at a higher price than originally paid for at the booking;

transferred, used or otherwise disposed of without our advance permission:

for any promotional or commercial purpose (including any competition, advertising, promotion or auction or as a prize in any competition or sweepstake, whether for a business or a charity or otherwise); or

to enhance the demand for any other goods or services; or

combined with or incorporated as part of any other good(s) or service(s) (including as part of any hospitality, accommodation or travel package or service).

Any booking offered, used or disposed of in breach of this paragraph 5.2 may be cancelled, and anyone seeking to use the booking may be refused admission without refund or compensation.

 

4 Liability

4.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions operates to exclude, restrict or modify the application of any mandatory right or liability under applicable consumer law or any other statute where doing so would contravene that statute or cause any provision of these Terms and Conditions to be void (“Non-excludable Obligations”).

4.2 Except in relation to Non-excludable Obligations, all conditions, warranties, guarantees, rights, remedies, liabilities or other terms that may be implied or conferred by statute, custom or general law imposing any liability or obligation on TCSC are expressly excluded under these Terms and Conditions.

4.3 Except in relation to Non-excludable Obligations, TCSC has no liability to you for any direct, indirect or consequential liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise suffered or incurred by any person

in connection with or in any way relating to the booking, including:

in connection with any disruption to or unavailability or failure of bookings, the platform, TCSC website or services;

in connection with interference with or damage to computer systems or other electronic devices in connection with your use of the platform, TCSC website or services;

in connection with errors, omissions or inaccuracies contained in any information published on the platform, TCSC website or supplied by TCSC to you via email or otherwise;

as a result of any fraudulent use, misuse or misappropriation of your platform user account;

as a result of any act committed by another person in connection with your (or another user’s) use of the platform, TCSC website or services;

arising from any circumstance beyond TCSC control; and

otherwise under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.

 

5 General terms

5.1 Any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in the cancellation of a booking without compensation or refund.

5.2 These Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law, any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts, in respect of mandatory legislation on consumer protection that sets out a different jurisdiction.

5.3 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the provisions in question shall not be affected.

5.4 Neither TCSC nor your failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of such provision. Such failure shall in no way affect the right to later enforce such provision. A waiver of any provision or right under these Terms and Conditions must be in writing and signed by the party entitled to the benefit of that provision or right.

5.5 These Terms and Conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties on its subject matter and supersede any previous arrangements, agreements, representations, understandings or statements (whether verbally, in writing or in another format).

7 Privacy policy

Your information will be handled in accordance with TCSC privacy policy.

TOCK is the data controller, TOCK is required to protect your personal information, and our aim is to make you feel secure when we process your personal data. TOCK will process any personal information about you in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as well as any applicable laws.

 

I) Types and use of personal information

TOCK collects information about you in the following cases: If you make a reservation for an experience, they only collect necessary data; like for instance your name, address, telephone number, email address, payment cards, other payment data purchase history, information regarding dietary restrictions, cookies, and IP address.

 

II) TOCK use may include investigations, statistics, and analyses in order to improve products, services, and technologies, as well as to show you marketing content and offers tailored to your interests and hobbies. We send you this marketing material via electronic mail or other technologies (if you have requested to receive such material).

 

III) Changes

We will update and change this policy from time to time. TCSC reserves the right to update and change this policy. In case of significant changes, we will inform you through this website or by email.
